American Tightens Business-Class Upgrades on These Routes
American Airlines is narrowing free upgrade access as it rolls out premium economy on more domestic routes. Starting Aug. 25, elite members flying economy on routes with premium economy will be upgraded to that cabin, not lie-flat business class, as previously allowed.
Affected routes include JFK–LAX, JFK–SFO, Boston–LAX, and several Hawaii routes from Dallas, Phoenix, and Chicago. Elite members flying American's older A321T aircraft, which lack a premium economy cabin, still get bumped straight to business class. Buying a premium economy ticket outright also still qualifies you for a free business upgrade.
Domestic first-class upgrades and Systemwide Upgrades remain unaffected.
Travel Smarter: If you're an elite flyer hoping for a business-class upgrade on one of these routes, booking premium economy directly gives you a real shot. Relying on a free coach upgrade after Aug. 25 will likely land you in premium economy instead.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card is running one of the strongest offers TPG has tracked. Fly Unlimited This Fall and Winter for $199 with Frontier GoWild Pass
Frontier Airlines is offering its GoWild Fall & Winter Pass for $199, valid for travel Aug. 4, 2026 through Feb. 28, 2027. Once purchased, you can book unlimited flights during that window, paying only taxes and fees per flight.
Key details: domestic flights confirm as early as the day before departure, international flights open up 10 days out. There's also a paid early-booking option if you want more certainty on dates, and Elite Status holders get free bags and seats.
Compare it to the Annual Pass ($599/year) or Monthly Pass ($0 first month, then $149/month, $119 enrollment fee), the Fall & Winter Pass is the clear value play if your travel window fits inside its dates.
Travel Smarter: This pass rewards flexible travelers most. If your schedule can adapt to last-minute confirmed seats, especially domestic routes confirming just one day out, $199 can turn into dramatically discounted travel across the next six months. It's a poor fit if you need fixed dates locked in far ahead.
Kids Stay Free at Select Hyatt All-Inclusive Resorts
Hyatt Inclusive Collection resorts in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Punta Cana, Cartagena, and more are letting kids ages 3–12 stay free at select all-inclusive properties, including Dreams, Hyatt Ziva, Bahia Principe, and Sunscape locations. Kids under 3 already stay free year-round.
You must book by Sept. 30, 2026, for stays between now and Dec. 20, 2026, with a three-night minimum at select resorts. The real math: a family of four traveling in the promo window pays the same $1,182 as two adults alone, a savings of over $400 compared to booking outside the window.
