"The journey, not the arrival, matters."
— T.S. Eliot
Good morning. If Europe without jet lag sounds appealing, your favorite travel card just got more rewarding, and Hawaiian Airlines is saying goodbye to a long-standing perk. Let's get into it.
FEATURED BOARDING
One Simple Flight Change Could Help You Beat Jet Lag

If you dread arriving in Europe exhausted, consider booking a morning departure instead of an overnight flight. While most eastbound transatlantic routes leave in the evening and land after a restless night of sleep, a handful of daytime flights arrive in Europe in the early evening—making it easier to check into your hotel and go straight to bed.
Morning departures are currently available from New York, Boston, and Newark to London, with connections onward to the rest of Europe.
Why it matters: Arriving well-rested can make the first days of your trip more enjoyable—and help you avoid wasting precious vacation time recovering from jet lag.
TOUR DE HEADLINES
More Americans Are Dreaming of Life Abroad

Nearly 1 in 5 Americans say they'd consider moving overseas permanently, and a new report from Global Citizen Solutions highlights the cities making that dream most appealing.
Lisbon topped the list for 2026, followed by Amsterdam and Melbourne, while Tokyo, Singapore, and Seoul also cracked the top 10.
Why it matters: Even if you're not planning an international move, the rankings offer insight into the destinations travelers increasingly view not just as places to visit—but places to build a life.
Free Meals Are Disappearing on Another US Airline

Starting July 1, Hawaiian Airlines will end complimentary meals in economy on most flights between Hawaii and the mainland U.S. Travelers will instead be able to pre-order meals up to 20 hours before departure.
The new menu includes dishes like teriyaki chicken bento, mochiko chicken with garlic noodles, and Hawaiian bread French toast.
Why it matters: Travelers will gain more dining options but lose a long-standing perk on flights lasting five hours or more.
POINTS & MILES
This $95 Travel Card Just Became Harder to Ignore
Chase has refreshed its popular Sapphire Preferred Card, adding several new perks without increasing its $95 annual fee.
What's new:
$100 annual hotel credit on eligible Chase bookings (up from $50)
3x points on gas and EV charging purchases
3x points on Airbnb and Vrbo stays
Up to $120 toward Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS every four years
Enhanced emergency evacuation and transportation coverage
One complimentary year of Apple TV+ (activation required)
There are some trade-offs—Hyatt transfer rates are being reduced and the 10% anniversary bonus is going away—but most casual travelers are unlikely to notice.
Why it matters: The new hotel credit alone can offset the card's annual fee, making the Sapphire Preferred an even stronger option for travelers who take one or two trips a year.
